How to Reset Micro Chip on Ink Cartridge?

There are two methods by which you can remove this message. The first one is to buy a Universal Chip Resetter or the one specially designed for Xerox Printers. You can stop this message by resetting the chip level. Xerox Printer Technical Support Canada has provided the below-mentioned steps to inform you about the process that how you can stop this message to appear whenever you use recycled cartridges.

Steps to reset the Cartridge Chips

  • Put the Universal Ink Resetter on your hand or any Flat Surface. Make sure the metal pin is on your side.
  • Locate the Metal Tab on the Printer’s Cartridge, you can find it on the backside of the cartridge.
  • Now you have to align the pins of the universal chip resetter with the pins on the Xerox printing cartridge
  • When you Press the chip resetter towards the cartridge, the metal pins on it and the tabs of the printer gets connected. This activity results in the blinking of a red light. Hold them together until the green light starts to wink.
  • After the green light has flashed on Reinstall the Cartridge again to the printer via accessing panel and Turn On the printer as usual. Open the test document at last and Click on File and Print to test whether the task has been successful or not.
